I like to bookmark awesome finance websites I find online. I read, watch, and add a lot of apps onto my phone on anything related to money (i.e. budget, credit card, saving, investing, etc.). I’ll share with you just the good ones. I’ve added some fun stuff too because who doesn’t like a litte humor?
Recently, I became a huge fan of http://christianpf.com/. It was started by this guy name Bob Lotich, he gives out awesome How to… instructions about finances that I honestly would pay for! But who wants to pay for it when you can get it for free right?
His uh huh moment story (I love these stories!):
“I was 21. I was living in a city where I didn’t know anyone. I had no savings. I had no money left in my checking account. My credit card was $264 from being maxed out (thank God I was not savvy enough to know I could have more than one credit card). My rent was due that day. My car broke down next to a minor league ballpark. I was supposed to pick up two friends from the airport (60 miles away) in about 12 hours. As I was pushing my car to the side of the road I was hoping that the fix would cost less than the $264 I had remaining on my credit card. Sitting in my broken down car, as hundreds drove by staring pulling into the ballpark, I finally realized that I needed help.
I know life like this is an everyday occurrence for some people. But what I realized is that it doesn’t have to be. We are not doomed to how we are currently living – we all can change! I know, because over the last couple years my wife and I have paid off over $30,000 in consumer debts. I have a passion to help people come to this realization and get started on their own journey to financial freedom.”
